assessment, we may feel that you could benefit from a
particular specialist’s consult. You will be advised to
meet with one of these local experts. Although there are many
others, these professionals have proven their abilities.
The choice is always yours as you continue your
investigation of learning roadblocks.

Perceptual-Motor Training
Joseph & Marie help children with special learning disabilities that may have difficulty in understanding or in using spoken or written language. They achieves this through a motor perceptual consult during which they assesse your students level of motor processing ability.
Irlen Syndrome, also known as Scotopic
Sensitivity Syndrome (SSS), is a type of visual perceptual
problem. It is not optical, but is a problem with how the
nervous system encodes and decodes visual information. Academic
and work performance, behavior, attention, ability to sit still
and concentration can be affected.

Individualized Student Educational Plan Specialist. Sharon is co-administrator of Bethel Baptist Academy, and author of the “IDOC Planner” for special needs students. Sharon is the mother of four sons, two of which have special needs. She teaches workshops, training parents how to use an IDOC for their students. |
